Investment bonuses and the 4.8k spike

Every soul spent on items of a category counts toward its investment bonus: Weapon raises weapon damage, Vitality raises base health and Spirit adds flat spirit power. The bonus of the highest threshold reached applies.

The 4,800 souls spike

At 4,800 souls spent in one category, the bonus jumps: weapon damage 18% → 46%, base health 20% → 38%, spirit power +19 → +38. It is the biggest jump of the Weapon table, hence the name “4.8k spike”.

Example: Vyper at 4,800 souls (9 boons) has 137.9 weapon DPS with 3,200 souls of Weapon items and 170.7 with 4,800 souls, from the investment bonus alone, before the items’ own stats.

Checked in gameThe Vitality bonus multiplies base health, boon health included, but not the health given by items.

Ways to reach 4,800 souls in one category

Shop items cost 800, 1,600, 3,200, and 6,400 souls depending on their tier. Combinations that add up to exactly 4,800 souls:

  • T3 + T2 (3,200 + 1,600)
  • T3 + T1 + T1 (3,200 + 800 + 800)
  • T2 + T2 + T2 (1,600 + 1,600 + 1,600)
  • T2 + T2 + T1 + T1 (1,600 + 1,600 + 800 + 800)
